Continuing with our recap of Agent E's third grade year and Agent J's first grade year. Today, moving on to geography.

As I mentioned in a post about our plans for geography next year, I didn't feel that this year's geography had enough of a cohesive theme. Still, we learned many of interesting things and read some good books. But . . . we probably could have spent more time/effort on the subject overall.

This year we covered the following:
  • general information about maps and globes, continents, geography terminology, and world cultures
  • US states (mostly an overview without specific studies on individual states)
  • select countries (Australia, Canada, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, and the United Kingdom)
