This blog is a way to keep me sane while nurturing a lifelong love of writing. The fact that it has developed a readership over the last couple of years is awesome, because we're all in this together. I hope you feel at home here.
You will not find any unrealistic parenting expectations or envy-worthy proclamations about our perfect life. In fact, the complete opposite. There's a reason "in Progress" is in the title of this blog. Every day I'm seeing exactly how much I still need to learn.
On that note, you may read something from the earlier days that seems to contradict newer posts, or sounds judgmental, or is overly snarky (not in a good way). I absolutely hate some of my earlier writing, and every once in a while consider just leaning on the delete key for anything prior to about mid-2011. Yet, I leave it up because it was (and is) part of the journey. It also helps me to remember how much I have changed in just the few short years I've been writing here.
I share posts about (among other things) attachment parenting, breastfeeding, child-led homeschooling, staying organized, travel, and writing.
Our life is just like yours, only I'm writing everything down.
Thanks for stopping by.

Hi Valerie! I really like the bit about sharing a bit of truth in one's blog. I have indeed noticed a trend in most blog, showcasing the perfect little lives they live. You can hardly see any hint of ugly. Either way, it's nice to read a truthful blog once in a while, this has really inspired me now to relax and not be afraid to let out a little dose of reality in my posts, just like what Anne Frank did. And I am so envious of you standing next to Phineas and Ferb here. :) Cheers!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, Rosella. Glad you are enjoying the blog. It's funny, because right before I saw your post I had actually taken that pic of us with P&F down . . . and then decided to replace it with another pic of P&F. :-)
